When She Thrives
WE ALL PROSPER
The Women's Fund of Door County actively supports women and girls through impactful collaborations with local organizations. Through these strategic partnerships, we aim to eliminate obstacles, create opportunities, and empower the women and girls within our community.
As a dedicated grant provider for women and girls in Door County, we hold the belief that equipping women with the necessary resources for success not only benefits them individually but also contributes to the prosperity of their families and the community at large. Investing in women and girls is the smartest choice for funding long-term solutions to issues that concern us all.
OUR IMPACT
Recent Community Grant Recipients
CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE
Since 2022, the Women's Fund has granted over $230,000 towards child care initiatives with the generous assistance of the Ford Foundation. We are grateful the Ford Foundation has continued to support the Women's Fund and expect to grant an additional $170,000 through their generosity. In addition to that, the Women's Fund has committed $300,000 of its own money over a three year period to child care projects. Child care challenges in Door County are extensive and complex. As the Women's Fund looks ahead to the work that is yet to be done, we celebrate our efforts to date which include:

- Certification of >60 students in Red Cross Babysitter training
- Direct support to Northern Door Children's Center, improving safety and increasing child care slots
- Grants to in-home child care providers to help enhance safety and educational tools in their homes
